UFC women's flyweight fighter Rachael Ostovich has been hospitalized after being attacked in Hawaii.

The news was first reported Sunday night by TMZ who stated she was hospitalized for major injuries including a broken orbital bone. In addition, the attacker was said to be someone close to her.

TMZ have reached out to her camp for comments.

Ostovich (4-4) was coming off a loss to Montana De La Rosa from July earlier this year but was set for her biggest matchup when she was recently scheduled to take on rising prospect Paige Van Zant (7-4) at the Barclays Center for UFC Brooklyn on Jan. 19.

However, if news of a broken orbital bone is true along with other serious injuries, their fight is now in serious jeopardy.

Ostovich was not the first female fighter to be part of a reported assault this year. Fellow flyweight Andrea Lee was reported to be allegedly assaulted by her husband Donny Aaron back in August.

Aaron, who is still being sought by authorities, made headlines earlier in the year when pictures of his Nazi tattoos surfaced online.
