The world is shocked after hearing the news about the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, and Vanessa Hudgens is “devastated.” The actress took to Intagram to recall meeting the basketball player and she also paid tribute to him.

Hudgens shared a photo of Bryant on her Instagram page and expressed her sadness about his death. The actress wrote that she is crying and “devastated” after losing “such a legend” so soon.

In a video that Hudgens shared online, she showed how she was reacting like a fan while watching scenes about Bryant on TV. The post has over a million likes as of this writing.

In another picture, Hudgens shared how Bryant reached out to her at an event and she had a “mini catch up” with him. She wrote that the basketball player was “such a king” in “every way.”

Hudgens shares her first name with Bryant’s wife, and the actress said that she was always “flattered” by this fact. She added that her “heart burns” thinking about the situation of Bryant’s wife. The actress also shared her love for the athlete’s wife and kids.

“Life is not a guarantee. Make the most of it bbs,” Hudgens told her followers on Instagram.

Bryant and his daughter died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas in California, USA Today reported. He was 41 at the time of his death. According to Alex Villanueva, the Los Angeles County Sheriff, there were nine people on the helicopter at the time of the crash with no survivors. The identities of the rest of the passengers are yet to be revealed.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement that the NBA family is devastated by the deaths of Bryant and his daughter. He sent his condolences to the athlete’s wife and the entire family.
