KEY POINTS

  • "The Walking Dead" Season 10 will return next month
  • There may be a few major deaths
  • Jerry and Kelly are likely to die

There may be a few deaths when “The Walking Dead” Season 10 returns next month with episode 9. The preview trailers that have been released online give the fans some clues about who will survive and who may not.

Some of the heroes were last seen trapped with zombies in Alpha’s (Samantha Morton) cave. Based on the trailers that have been released so far, it seems like Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) will survive the cave, Screen Rant reported.

Both Daryl and Carol are major characters on the show, so their survival is not surprising. However, the incident is expected to leave a deep impact on Carol because the rest of the heroes followed her lead.

The three other characters who are likely to survive are Aaron (Ross Marquand), Magna (Nadia Hilker), and Connie (Lauren Ridloff). The two characters who are likely to die are Jerry (Cooper Andrews) and Kelly (Angel Theory).

The death of Jerry will come as a major blow in “The Walking Dead” Season 10. The character is a fan favorite, which means there is enormous shock value in his death. Jerry’s death will also impact Carol’s relationship with Ezekiel (Khary Payton).

Apart from the cave storyline, the teasers also reveal Eugene (Josh McDermitt) as the character to watch as the story continues, Collider reported. The character has done things to protect himself and survive, no matter the cost that others have to pay. The teasers suggest that he may do something yet again that will be in his self-interest.

Meanwhile, Robert Kirkman appears to have finally revealed what caused the zombie apocalypse. Responding to a fan question on Twitter, Kirkman said that “space spores” caused the zombie apocalypse.

“The Walking Dead” Season 10, episode 9 will air on Feb. 23 at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
