(REUTERS) -- Stocks opened flat on Friday as a better-than-expected employment report was not strong enough to offset cautiousness over the Eurozone debt crisis.

The Dow Jones industrial average dipped 2.39 points, or 0.02 percent, at 12,413.31. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index added 0.32 points, or 0.02 percent, at 1,281.38. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 0.18 points, or 0.01 percent, at 2,669.68.
