Just a day after President Donald Trump abruptly fired FBI Director James Comey, Tuesday, Chris Pratt informed his 4.26 million followers on Twitter that he has found a replacement. Pratt shared a hilarious video Wednesday, which received thousands of likes in just a few hours.

The video showed FBI Agent Burt Macklin, the character who was the alter-ego/imaginary persona of Pratt's "Parks & Recreation" character, Andy Dwyer. Pratt suggested that Macklin would be the perfect replacement to Comey. In the show, Macklin was fired from the agency after being “framed for stealing the president’s rubies.”

Pratt's "Parks and Recreation" co-star Nick Offerman later took to Twitter to show support behind Macklin's candidacy as a potential FBI Director.

Comey was fired Tuesday after he provided inaccurate information about Hillary Clinton’s emails to Congress last week. His dismissal came days after he testified on Capitol Hill about Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state and the bureau’s investigation into Russian dealings with the presidential elections.

"Today, President Donald J. Trump informed FBI Director James Comey that he has been terminated and removed from office. President Trump acted based on the clear recommendations of both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions," a White House statement announcing Comey's termination said. The "search for a new permanent FBI Director will begin immediately."

Here are some social media reactions to Pratt's video, which was retweeted nearly 50,000 times Wednesday.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” star has been quite active on his social media accounts as he promotes his upcoming projects. Most recently, Pratt took a break from his busy schedule to fundraise for the Seattle Children’s Hospital. Pratt performed a little song, and then told his fans about the cause.

“What’s up, world? Chris Pratt here,” he said. “I want to talk to you about this crowd rise campaign that we’re doing. Raising a ton of money for the Seattle Children’s hospital.” Fans who donate money will also get a chance to see Pratt and his “Jurassic World” co-star, Bryce Dallas Howard, in Hawaii. “You get an opportunity to come spend some time with me,” he said. Last week, Pratt found himself in hot waters after he was accused of making fun of people with hearing disabilities. The controversy started when the star requested users to turn up the volume on his post instead of relying on subtitles. Fans slammed him for failing to understand that some people are dependent on subtitles.

"I have people in my life who are hearing-impaired, and the last thing in the world I would want to do is offend them or anybody who suffers from hearing loss or any other disability," he captioned a post, which accompanied a video of Pratt apologizing in sign language. "So truly from the bottom of my heart I apologize."

Pratt explained that his intention was not to make any offensive comment about hearing-impaired people but was only trying to get around Instagram's feature of keeping all video posts mute until a user actively chooses to turn on the sound.
