It's over for "Riverdale" co-stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse. The two have reportedly split after two years of dating.

The news comes just days after the duo attended Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con party in San Diego last Saturday. Us Weekly reported that the co-stars kept their distance from each other and mingled with fellow "Riverdale" cast members but were "rarely" seen together.

Multiple sources confirmed Reinhart and Sprouse's split to the outlet and, apparently, the 26-year-old former Disney Channel star was overheard telling a friend the news. What's still unknown, though, is the reason behind their split and what it could mean for their on-screen romance on the hit CW show.

Neither party has commented publicly regarding the split, but the "Hustlers" actress shared her love for her castmates, including Sprouse, despite the breakup.

"Comic Con always reminds me how lucky I am to be part of something so special and thankfully it’s with these beautiful people," the 22-year-old captioned an Instagram photo. "Thanks for coming out to see us this weekend."

Reinhart and Sprouse play Betty and Jughead, respectively, on "Riverdale," which began filming its fourth season in July. Season 3 wrapped up all of the on-going plot lines but left fans asking a whole new question: What happened to Jughead?

While fans will have to wait and see how things unfold, the new storyline will probably be a relief for the ex-lovers because let's be real, who wants to pretend to be in a relationship with their ex?
