The most important date of the NFL offseason is just around the corner. The 2022 NFL Draft starts Thursday, April 28, and concludes Saturday, April 30.

The NFL Draft features seven rounds over the course of three days. The first round has an 8 p.m. ET start time on April 28 ending with the No. 32 overall selection. Friday, April 29, includes the second and third rounds. On April 30, rounds four through seven complete the 2022 draft.

The second round starts at 7 p.m. ET on April 29. The fourth round starts at noon ET on the third and final day of the draft.

There are a total of 262 picks in this year’s NFL draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars will be the first team on the clock. Jacksonville owns the No. 1 overall draft pick for the second straight year.

A quarterback is not expected to be taken with the top overall selection, making the 2022 draft an exception. When Jacksonville selected Trevor Lawrence in 2021, he became the sixth quarterback in seven years to become the first player off the board.

Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson and Georgia defensive lineman Travon Walker are the top contenders to be picked first in this year’s draft.

The Detroit Lions have the second and final picks in the first round. The New York Giants and New York Jets both have a pair of top-10 draft picks.

The Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams aren’t set to make a selection until the 104th overall pick, which comes toward the end of the third round.
