When And Where To Watch The ‘DWTS’ Season 27 Premiere
The night has finally arrived and 13 new couples will take to the dance floor in the hopes of winning the Mirrorball Trophy on the 27th season premiere of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.”
Those hoping to catch all the excitement and action as the new season debuts with a special two-night event will be in luck, as it will be airing live on ABC at 8 p.m. RDT. The show will also stream live on ABC’s website.
The new season is expected to be a big one and will have plenty in store for viewers as the special premiere event unfolds. According to an ABC Press Release, on night one, the season will officially kick off with a routine featuring the entire cast of pros and celebrities as they dance to Erin Boheme’s “I Won’t Dance.”
Following that performance, the show’s cast will take to the stage for their individual routines that will be scored by the judges. Hoping to impress early on will be several different kinds of celebrities, including actors Nancy McKeon, Juan Pablo di Pace, Milo Manheim, Evanna Lynch and John Schnieder; Athletes Danelle Umstead, DeMarcus Ware and Mary Lou Retton; Reality star Joe Amabile; Comedian Nikki Glaser; Singer Tinashe; Radio Personality Bobby Bones and Model Alexis Ren.
Night two kicks off with the pros dancing an “electrifying” opening number to “The Greatest Show: from “The Greatest Showman” soundtrack. Singer/Actress/Model Mackenzie Ziegler will also be on hand to perform her hit song, “Wonderful.”
Even more exciting about night two of the competition will be the official unveiling of the celebrity cast of “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors,” which premieres on Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. The cast, comprised of 12 celebrity kids and professional junior ballroom dancers, will be unveiled as they complete a performance to DNCE’s “Dance.” The “Juniors” pros will also take to the stage on their own to perform a special routine to “Born Ready” by Disco Fries feat. Hope Murphy.
However, before night two comes to an end, one team will be forced to say their goodbyes, as an elimination is scheduled for that night.
Be sure to catch all of the dancing action starting at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
