  • Kanye West is annoyed by reports saying ex-wife Kim Kardashian initiated their divorce, a report says
  • West reportedly believes the Kardashian-Jenner family’s “huge spin machine” is the culprit behind the issue
  • The rapper allegedly allowed the reality star to file first to “give her dignity”

Kanye West is “annoyed” by how the media seemingly managed to twist the divorce story involving him and ex-wife Kim Kardashian, a report says.

An insider familiar with the matter disclosed to Page Six Sunday that the rapper is unhappy over people believing it was Kardashian who initiated their divorce just because the media portrayed it as such.

The unnamed source said West is “super annoyed that the story is being constantly presented as her divorcing him” all because the Kardashian-Jenner family’s “huge spin machine” managed to twist the facts for the benefit of the reality star.

The source also told the outlet that Kardashian “pulled all the stops to try to save the marriage,” but it was irreparable at that point when West had already decided that it was time for him to let go. West has allegedly had enough after noticing that the only thing they had in common was their children.

The celebrity tipster then made it clear that the KKW Beauty founder only filed for divorce first because the “Fade” hitmaker allowed her to do so to “give her dignity.”

Kardashian officially filed the paperwork in February, months after rumors swirled that they were putting an end to their marriage after six years. In the filing obtained by TMZ, Kardashian indicated that she wanted “joint legal and physical custody” of their four kids — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1.

West responded to Kardashian’s filing earlier this week, and he noted in his filing that he is also seeking joint legal and physical custody of their children as he is committed to co-parenting them with his ex.

The Grammy winner is not seeking spousal support — something that Kardashian also mentioned in her court documents. The pair also agreed that both of them will pay for their own legal fees amid the divorce proceedings.

Meanwhile, Kris Jenner has given her two cents on the whole situation as she is no stranger to divorcing partners. She divorced Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian, before getting together with Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner. She eventually divorced her after 24 years of marriage.

“I think the most important thing that I learned through my experience, both of my experiences, is that the kids come first,” Kris said in a recent interview with WSJ Magazine.

“I think if you keep that in the front of your mind, and know that they are gonna get you through, the love is gonna get you through, no matter how much you're hurting,” she added.
