He reportedly did not compete during week 3 of "Dancing With The Stars" Season 25 due to the conflicts he has reportedly been having with his celebrity partner behind the scenes. However, according to a new report, Maksim Chmerkovskiy will return to the ballroom to dance with Vanessa Lachey for week 4.

According to Us Weekly, after their conflicts escalated to a point where Maks not only didn't rehearse with Vanessa all last week, but also opted out of performing during the live show, the two are going to work together again this week, and will reunite for the public in the dance floor come next Monday.

"Maks and Vanessa are returning to rehearsals and will be dancing together on next week's show," a spokesperson for the ABC series reportedly told the magazine.

Though neither one of them has addressed Mak's absence, or the reports that it was due to their fighting, Vanessa did take to Instagram earlier today to thank Alan Bersten, who stepped in for Maks, and hinted in her post that she and Maks would reunite this coming week.

"Thank YOU to @alanbersten and my new girl posse, the @dancingabc girls trrop, @brittbenae, @hayley.erbert @dance10jenna !!! This was the ULTIMATE guilty pleasure...I can't WAIT to get started tomorrow with @maksimc on week 4! We're cookin' up something special for you," she captioned a photo of herself with Bersten and the troop.

Maks also took to Instagram to thank Alan for stepping in for him again (he covered for him after an injury kept Maks out of the competition in Season 24), though he didn't mention Vanessa in his post.

Thank you @alanbersten for doing a great job stepping in for me.....again!  #DWTS

Previously, Maks' absence was attributed to an intense conflict between he and Vanessa, with sources telling People Magazine that their equally strong personalities were causing them to butt heads.

Since then, another report in Us Weekly has backed up that claim, saying the two were actually "miserable" together and were only putting on smiling faces for the cameras.

"There is a lot of fighting going on behind the scenes," a source told the publication. "Their personalities are very similar so they disagree about everything. They refuse to give into one another. They're playing nice for the cameras but both are miserable paired with each other."

The news of the two not getting along could be surprising to fans because the two have managed to receive high scores from the judges throughout the competition thus far.

Conversely, their respective spouses, Peta Murgatroyd and Nick Lachey, who are also partnered up together for the competition, have reportedly not had the same problems when it comes to their relationship, despite getting lower scores. The source maintains they have been getting along fine and staying out of the drama.

"Nick and Peta are totally fine," the source said. "Nick is awesome. He's very laid back and sweet. Peta just goes with the flow, she's easy."

Neither Maks nor Vanessa has spoken out about their reported conflicts.

"Dancing with the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
