A new teaser for NBC’s “World of Dance” Season 1 has just been released online.

Executive producer and judge Jennifer Lopez shared the clip via her Instagram account. The short teaser confirmed that “World of Dance” will premiere sometime in the spring. “Dancing With the Stars” pro Derek Hough will also be teaming up with Lopez and Ne-Yo in judging the contestants. The promo also claimed that “World of the Dance” is set to be the biggest dance competition in the world.

Other than Lopez, the executive producers of “World of Dance” also include Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Kris Curry, Matilda Zoltowski, David Gonzalez, Matthew Everitt and Al Hasas. “World of Dance” is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studios in association with Nuyorican Productions.

According to the show’s website, “World of Dance” will feature the best soloists, duos, trios and groups across all types and genres of dance. Top qualifiers in the junior, upper and teams will go head-to-head for the chance to bring home $1 million. Juniors may consist of either a group of up to 20 dancers or a soloist aged eight to 16 years old. Uppers are soloists or groups of four members aged 17 and above. Teams should consist of five to 20 members aged 17 and above.

Meanwhile, the auditions and screening for “World of Dance” Season 1 have already commenced. Interested applicants were asked to submit their application form together with a video for a chance to be called for the audition proper. Those who are selected for call back received a call from the producers of the reality TV show and were asked to travel to one of the locations nearest them: Los Angeles, New York, Chicago or Atlanta.
