  • Bubba Ray Dudley bares his thoughts on the AEW debut of Jeff Hardy
  • Hardy danced his way to the ring before saving his brother Matt from being beaten down by Team AHFO
  • The internet wrestling community found Hardy's actions to be funny and made memes out of it

Jeff Hardy made his grand promotional debut on the March 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, but one accomplished pro wrestling personality thinks that it could have gone better than how it went down.

Better known as Bubba Ray Dudley during his run with WWE, Bully Ray made an appearance on Busted Open Radio to share how odd it was for a superstar of Hardy’s caliber.

“I like what I see, I think there really is something missing, I don’t know what it is. I think people just were not expecting Matt [Hardy] and Jeff [Hardy] to stand across from Darby Allin and Sting. I think the Jeff run-in, a couple of weeks ago, was a little wonky and odd from the dancing to who really was getting saved,” said Dudley.

Matt Hardy was standing in the middle of the ring along with Team AHFO (composed of Andrade, Private Party, Butcher and Blade) and made his case as to why he should still be with the group, but the duo of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen turned on their mentor and attacked him.

Darby Allin and Sting first attempted to make the save, but the numbers game had gotten to them and they were promptly beaten down.

Fans started getting a hint that it was the younger of the Hardy siblings who would make the save after Sting and Allin were obviously not enough to help out older brother Matt.

The familiar drumbeat of “Loaded” then blared through the speakers and out came Hardy to make the save as the crowd went ballistic.

Before he made his way to the ring though, Hardy was caught on camera doing his signature dance while walking down the ramp which spawned some hilarious memes from the internet wrestling community.

Though Hardy dancing before saving his brother was another funny moment in the ever-unpredictable world of pro wrestling, Dudley was not a fan of it.

“I think there were enough people scratching their hands that I will give The Hardys an A, but I would probably want to give them an A+,” the nine-time WWE Tag Team Champion stated.

The Hardys were successful in their first AEW match against Private Party on the March 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, and fans eagerly await what the iconic pair does in Tony Khan’s company.
