The road to WrestleMania 35 truly starts Sunday night with the 2019 Royal Rumble. Seven belts will be on the line, though most of the champions, if not all, should retain their titles.

Here is the card for WWE Royal Rumble 2019, as well as predictions for each match:

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Finn Bálor

This should be a really fun match, much like Lesnar’s matches with AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan in the last year or so. It’s just hard to believe WWE will have the much smaller Balor beat Lesnar, who has only been pinned by Goldberg and Roman Reigns over the last six years.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles

Expect Bryan to retain the belt until WrestleMania 35. He’s been extremely compelling since winning the title and turning heel, and Bryan should be in a marquee championship match at the biggest event of 2019.

Prediction: Daniel Bryan

Men’s Royal Rumble Match

A surprise appearance from someone like Kenny Omega or The Rock appears to be a major long shot. Drew McIntyre has a chance since he’s likely a future world champion. Maybe The Miz will win and set up a rematch with Daniel Bryan. But Seth Rollins has been the top babyface on “Monday Night Raw” since Roman Reigns was diagnosed with Leukemia, making him the most sensible choice to win the Royal Rumble.

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Women’s Royal Rumble Match

The expectation is that Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will meet in the main event of WrestleMania 35. How do we get there? It starts with Rousey holding onto her Raw Women’s Championship and one of her potential opponents winning the Royal Rumble. It’s been speculated that there could be a controversial finish with both Becky and Charlotte claiming they won the match. A more likely scenario might be Charlotte being the last woman standing and Becky earning her WrestleMania title shot later on.

Prediction: Charlotte Flair

Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Sasha Banks

Rousey is going to retain her championship so she can defend it at WrestleMania 35. Sasha will lose, but she’ll put up a fight before trying to win the women’s tag team championships with Bayley at Elimination Chamber.

Prediction: Ronda Rousey

SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Becky Lynch

Becky is ultimately going to challenge Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship, so she won’t win Sunday. Beating Becky will help Asuka get even closer to where she was a year ago when she still hadn’t lost in WWE.

Prediction: Asuka

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar vs. The Miz & Shane McMahon

WWE clearly has some kind of plan for The Miz and Shane McMahon. The easy guess is that they will face off at WrestleMania. That could mean they’ll have a brief stint as champions before breaking up.

Prediction: The Miz & Shane McMahon

Buddy Murphy vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Kalisto vs. Hideo Itami – WWE Cruiserweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match (Kickoff Match)

Murphy will enter the Royal Rumble with a title reign of nearly three months. He might not drop the belt until WrestleMania 35.

Prediction ATS: Buddy Murphy

United States Champion Rusev vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Kickoff Match)

Neither Rusev nor Nakamura was on the go-home edition of “SmackDown Live,” so don’t expect the title to change hands.

Prediction: Rusev
