The WWE has undergone plenty of changes as of late as it tries to keep its head above water and jack up the TV ratings. The Wild Card Rule has been enforced and there is that new (or reincarnated) WWE 24/7 belt that most may originally recall as the WWE Hardcore championship.

Following the May 21 edition of WWE SmackDown, the current champion was in attendance and accompanied Carmella to take on Mandy Rose. The arrangement proved chaotic with SmackDown Live superstars wanting to get their hands on R-Truth and possibly wrest the belt. God's Greatest Creation got away still wearing the belt although he now has to be on guard to remain champion.

One WWE star who could try and pluck the title away from him is Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men has repeatedly fallen short of winning a WWE title, particularly the Universal title. If he does take aim, Strowman could be a worthy 24/7 champion since he can pretty much hold up on his own. It may pale if compared to the major WWE belts but is nevertheless something that would recognize him as champion.

If not, Strowman unsurprising does have his sights on the WWE Universal title. While he does admit his time will come, the fact that he has come so close on several occasions of being champion has become frustrating for the behemoth. Rather than sulk, Strowman plans to use it as motivation to work harder and admitted that he is hungry and wants that elusive Universal title so bad, ProWrestling.com reported.

As things stand now, it does not look like Strowman will be in the mix for the WWE Universal title yet. Seth Rollins holds the belt and last faced AJ Styles at WWE Money in the Bank. The King Slayer successfully defended his title although a new monster has risen from the ranks - Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar is the same guy that Rollins beat at Wrestlemania 35. After a brief absence, the Beast Incarnate shocked everyone when he emerged the WWE MOTB winner, something most had never expected. As things stand now, Lesnar is more likely to become champion at some point although it remains unclear which title he would go after. Aside from Rollins, there is the WWE heavyweight title held by Kofi Kingston with Kevin Owens currently the one feuding with the Dreadlocked Dynamo.
