  • Charlotte Flair won the 2020 Royal Rumble match
  • Charlotte Flair did not name a specific champion of her choice
  • Charlotte Flair is reportedly scheduled to be in NXT this Wednesday

Charlotte Flair is already one of the most decorated superstars in the WWE. From classic feuds, exceptional promos and in-ring skills, she’s had a stellar career since her debut. She has also made a name for herself with the accolades she has collected throughout her career. She was a former NXT Women’s Champion, a four-time Raw Women’s Champion, and a five-time Smackdown Women’s Champion.

In 2019’s Royal Rumble she lasted over 50 minutes before being eliminated by Becky Lynch. This year however she made sure she went out of the arena as the winner. Charlotte Flair was triumphant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match last Sunday earning her a title shot at Wrestlemania.

She eliminated Shayna Bazler with an athletic skin-the-cat reversal. With the development of her victory, she took to Monday Night Raw to discuss her plans for Wrestlemania. Charlotte Flair addressed the audience on who her opponent will be, but she didn’t mention a specific wrestler.

With Becky Lynch and Baily reigning as the Raw and Smackdown champions, Charlotte Flair teased to the crowd on her decision. Becky Lynch and Bayley have had their share of matches with the daughter of the 16-time World Champion. Their roots go back in their developmental years as members of NXT. Charlotte Flair ended her promo without mentioning her choice for her Wrestlemania opponent.

The vagueness of her segment might lead to a bigger reveal in succeeding episodes to come. But with reports by PWInsider by way of WhatCulture, Charlotte Flair is scheduled to appear at NXT on Wednesday. This could lead that the opponent Charlotte Flair will challenge is current NXT women’s champion, Rhea Ripley.

Rhea Ripley was a former NXT UK Women’s Champion. She then transitioned to the main NXT brand and eventually claimed the NXT Women’s Championship. She defeated Shayna Bazler in the December 18, 2019 show of NXT. She secured the championship with a Super Riptide, performing her finisher from the second rope. This made her the first person to win both UK and NXT Women’s Championships.
