Ronda Rousey’s future with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has been a regularly discussed topic in the last couple of months after reports emerged that she is keen to step away from the squared circle in the near future. And now a potential date about her last appearance before a hiatus has been revealed by WWE expert Dave Meltzer.

The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion has been a revelation since her switch from the octagon to the wrestling ring and has quickly gone on to become the most popular superstars in the promotion. Rousey is currently the Raw women’s champion and will defend her title at WrestleMania in April.

It is no secret that Rousey is keen to start a family with husband Travis Browne, but she has not given any indication as to when she plans to do so or if she will take a break before she begins planning on having a baby.

The former UFC champion has cut a frustrated figure in recent weeks and is now facing punishment from the WWE authority after her brazen attack on Becky Lynch during the taping of Raw on Monday night. She also threatened to quit WWE recently after revealing that she does not need the paychecks from the nightly performances at televised and non-televised events.

“The thing is I love this job, I really love this job," Rousey said on her official YouTube show “Ronda On The Road”. “[But] I don’t need it at all, not the least little bit.”

“So the second I’m not happy, I reserve the right to walk out the door and live happily ever after with the love of my life. And The Authority, so they are called in this company, they are just used to bullying everyone around. And like I said, they give them just enough for them to live a lavish lifestyle but still have to come back, right? And I don’t,” she added.

Rousey is one of WWE chairman Vince McMahon’s biggest stars, but he will be powerless to stop her from stepping away if she desires to start a family in the coming months. And according to Wrestling Observer’s Meltzer, via comicbook.com, April 8 – the Raw episode the day after WrestleMania 35 – will be her last day in WWE.

The report claims it is still unclear as she could extend her stay to perform at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia in May. Her hiatus, meanwhile, is expected to be temporary as it is believed that she is contracted to the WWE until 2021.

If it is confirmed that she will step away from the squared circle after WrestleMania – the chances of her retaining the title will be almost negligible. Rousey is scheduled to fight Charlotte Flair at the MetLife Stadium on April 7, but it could become a triple-threat match involving Lynch if she beats Flair at Fastlane on Sunday.
