The New York Yankees this afternoon officially announced they have resigned pitcher Andy Pettitte to a one-year contract.

The team noted in an press release that Pettite, 37, had a record of 14 wins and 8 losses in 32 starts for the Bronx Bombers.

“The Yankees were 21-11 in his starts,” the team added.

His post season performance resulted in 4 wins and no losses. The team stated that he helped win all three post-season series clinching games.

The contract will pay him $11.75 million, the New York Times reported.
