She’s been fighting feelings for her for a while now, and after hearing that Tessa is taking a huge step in her relationship with Noah, Mariah will find herself devastated by the news that the other woman is moving away on the Monday, Oct. 9 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has been fighting some feelings she’s had for Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) for a while now on the CBS soap, and since the kiss they shared in San Francisco, those feelings have only grown stronger. However, despite receiving encouragement from Kevin (Greg Rikaart) that she should be honest with both Tessa and her current boyfriend, Devon (Bryton James), about the feelings she has, Mariah has thus far kept quiet.

Now though, she may find herself propelled to try and come clean with Tessa after learning the other woman is moving out of her home to instead live with her boyfriend, Noah (Robert Adamson). As Tessa prepares to leave and say goodbye, Mariah will stop her, teary-eyed, admitting that she doesn’t want her to leave.

“Wait,” she says in a preview clip. “I don’t want you to go.”

Tessa may insist on leaving however, since it is important for her to take this step so she can make sure her relationship with Noah remains in good standing. Knowing that Tessa has noble reasons, Mariah will once again find herself keeping the truth about her feelings a secret, even as her heart breaks while Tessa walks out the door.

Meanwhile, the situation which brought the two women closer together has taken an unexpected turn.

Tessa’s sister, Crystal (Morgan Obenreder), was ensnared in a sex ring in Salem, and Tessa and Mariah, along with Mariah’s mother, Sharon (Sharon Case), were working together to try and free her. Finally, after several dead ends, they convinced Alice (Tamara Clatterbuck), who was one of the people helping to continually pimp Crystal out, to set the girl free in honor of Mariah’s late twin (and Alice’s one time adopted daughter), Cassie.

However, since then, Alice became the victim of a targeted hit and run, after she attempted to flee town and the wrath of her boss. But, when Sharon went to go visit her in the hospital and see if she was okay, she was stunned to find the other woman had completely disappeared, despite suffering some major injuries.

Now, she will confide in Nick (Joshua Morrow), as she expresses her concerns that Alice could now be in big trouble and might be involved in a life-threatening situation.

“Alice has been in an accident,” she says to him in the clip.

“How is she?” Nick asks.

“She’s gone,” Sharon replies.

Now, even though it will also be a dangerous task to try and take on, Sharon may decide that helping Crystal wasn’t good enough, and she will need to do more. As a result, she may decide that the best thing for her to do is to start looking into who else Alice was working with, in the hopes she can also rescue the other woman, before it’s too late to do so.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
