  • Logan Paul goes off on Canelo Alvarez
  • Paul feels Alvarez is being bitter because he will face Floyd Mayweather
  • Alvarez may not respond as he pins focus on his next fight

Logan Paul will not back down from anything, especially if a proverbial jab was hurled his way.

The 25-year-old responded to the comments of boxing icon Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, who claimed that Paul was disrespecting the sport.

The internet sensation unsurprisingly got word of that and fired back at the Mexican. He bats how Alvarez himself disrespected boxing when he tested positive for a banned substance in 2018.

This is about the six-month ban mete on Alvarez after a pre-fight drug test found out that Clenbuterol was existing in his system. The 30-year-old blamed it on tainted meat, but Paul feels that it takes away the Mexican’s right to look down on him and his boxing dream.

"To say we’re disrespecting the sport, I feel disrespected especially as it’s coming from a guy who quite literally disrespected and spit on the ethics of the sport. Yeah, it upsets me," Paul said when he appeared on The Night Shift Gaming.

Furthermore, Paul took another swipe and stressed that Alvarez was just bitter because he never got the chance to avenge his loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Alvarez’s lone loss in his record came at the hands of "Money" back in September 2013.

"I think he’s salty because I get a chance to beat Mayweather and he lost to him. That’s his one loss," Paul stated.

Regardless of his swipes, Paul admits that he idolizes Alvarez and considers him as one of the all-time greats.

But as far as his boxing journey is concerned, Paul divulges that he is not doing it half-heartedly.

"Just because we're attempting to do something and put on a great show and putting in the work, doesn't mean you have to s**t on us. Like, what the f**k, bro?" he asserted.

Paul and Mayweather are set to do battle in March 2021, a showdown that has the undefeated boxer being the heavy favorite.

Alvarez has yet to respond to the profanities hurled his way. He may not react at all since he is busy figuring out his next fight.

A third fight with Gennady Golovkin has been suggested. But his immediate concern is to face mandatory challenger Avni Yildirim and defend the WBC super middleweight belt.
