  • Zac Efron has not had plastic surgery and doesn't need to improve his appearance, pal Kyle Sandilands says
  • Dr. Anthony Youn also disagreed with the rumors claiming Efron has had work done on his face
  • Youn suggested Efron's alleged facial transformation was due to a dental procedure

Zac Efron's friend Kyle Sandilands has slammed the rumors claiming the actor has had work done on his face after he debuted a chiseled appearance in "Earth Day! The Musical."

Efron's reported facial transformation sparked plastic surgery rumors last week, with fans claiming on social media that he "ruined" his "perfect face." But Sandilands, a radio host and one of Efron's close pals in Australia, squashed these claims recently, insisting that "of course" the "High School Musical" star has not had any work done, E! News reported.

"I would know if he'd had any plastic surgery," Sandilands said on "The Kyle and Jackie O Show."

He further claimed that there is no room for improvement when it comes to Efron's appearance so there is no need for him to undergo any surgery to enhance his looks.

"It's like getting a Picasso and having a kid finger paint all over it. Why bother?" the radio host added, comparing the actor's appearance to a priceless artwork.

Dr. Anthony Youn, a board-certified plastic surgeon and popular TikTok doctor, also commented on Efron's alleged changing appearance. In his professional opinion, the "17 Again" star may have undergone a dental procedure rather than plastic surgery.

"Everybody is talking about Zac Efron and how strange he looks. Has he had plastic surgery to reshape his jawline? Botox? Fillers? I don’t think so!" he was quoted by Just Jared as saying. "I actually think he’s had dental surgery, not plastic surgery. That’s why he’s swollen in these areas. If you had your wisdom teeth taken out, did you look like this?"

Meanwhile, Sandilands also previously confirmed that Efron and his Australian model girlfriend, Vanessa Valladares, had already called it quits. The ex-lovers met in June 2020 when she was working as a waitress at the Byron Bay General Store & Cafe.

"Well, it's not just The Daily Telegraph [reporting the breakup]," he said on "The Kyle and Jackie O Show." "I can also confirm after speaking with him yesterday. Because I heard the rumors. They've gone their separate ways. [There was] no drama. It's done. He's back to work."

Another insider also confirmed the split to People. It was reportedly Efron who broke up with Valladares because "it just didn't feel right to him anymore." Despite their split, the "Lucky One" actor will remain in Australia.

"Zac will still stay in Australia. He just loves Australia so much," the unnamed source added. "He is working and busy with several upcoming projects. He is happy, healthy and enjoying life."
