Zayn Malik and girlfriend Gigi Hadid's relationship is going strong!

The former "One Direction" singer dished on his relationship with Hadid in a new interview with Us Weekly after being chosen as one of the outlet's Most Stylish New Yorkers. From their typical date nights to fashion, Malik shared what it's like dating the young supermodel.

Hadid and Malik are both fashionistas, but the publication asked the singer if his girlfriend sometimes helps him choose his outfits. "She doesn't really pick out my outfits, but we do the normal thing between boyfriend and girlfriend where we're like, 'I like this,' or 'that looks nice on you,'" he explained.

As for their typical date nights, Malik said that they both cook and make meals for each other. Among Hadid's favorites is his chicken and sweet corn pie.

When asked about what it's like dating when they are both often in the spotlight, Malik said that they don't think about it too much and simply choose to focus on their relationship. "There are a lot of people who are too busy in other people's lives," he said. "I just concentrate on my relationship and try to do right by my girlfriend and she does by me, and we hope for the best, as we all do!"

In related news, before Malik started dating Hadid, he was engaged to Fifth Harmony's Perrie Edwards. The two were together for four years and engaged for two. Edwards was reportedly devastated after Malik dumped her through a text.

"It was horrible, the worst time in my life," Edwards said (via Cosmopolitan). "A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me."

To make matters worse, her split from Malik left her homeless. According to Edwards, she had nowhere to go when she left the home they lived in together. She had cats and dogs, so she could not easily rent a place. "At the time we were promoting 'Black Magic,' and while I was in America, things really hit me and I panicked. I realized I was homeless. I was crying every day, dreading coming back," Edwards said.

In August, Edwards made headlines when she reportedly changed the lyrics of their song, "Shout Out To My Ex," while performing in their concert in New Zealand. When Edwards was supposed to sing the line, "I hope she getting better sex/Hope she ain't fakin' it like I did, babe," she allegedly changed it to: "Hope she ain't fakin' it like Hadid."

Many thought that it was a jab at Malik and his new girlfriend. But Edwards' supporters explained that her voice just cracked in the middle of the performance, so it sounded like "Hadid."
