With a net worth of $4.3 billion, the wealthiest man ever to run for president was Ross Perot, the only independent on this list and worth more than the all the rest combined, according to a new report released by Wealth-X Research.

Of the top 10 richest presidential candidates, including Hillary Clinton, five were Democrats and four were Republican.

Hillary Clinton, who will likely run as the Democratic candidate in the 2016 presidential election, tied for sixth place with her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton is the only person on this list to have won the presidency. President Barack Obama didn’t make this list.
