Every season of Syfy’s “12 Monkeys” must have an episode focusing on Jennifer Goines (Emily Hampshire). The Primary took matters into her own hands by going after the Tall Man (Tom Noonan) last season in the episode “Hyena.” In Season 3, her character is going to plan a heist.

In a fun, action-packed episode, Jennifer will helm a heist in the 1980s, according to a report by Entertainment Weekly. This episode will air mid-season. Jennifer will be joined by her fellow time-travelers Dr. Cassandra/Cassie (Amanda Schull), James Cole (Aaron Stanford) and Deacon (Todd Stashwick). Not only does this spoiler and various Season 3 photos confirm that Deacon will be alive in “12 Monkeys,” but it also means Cassie will somehow reunite with her gang.

Traveling to the 1980s means Cassie, Cole and Jennifer may meet some familiar faces, including Jennifer’s dad Leland (Zeljko Ivanek).

Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano are guest-starring in this episode.

The “12 Monkeys” executive producer, Terry Matalas, said, “This show has one of those rare casts that can have you laughing your ass off in one moment, and batting away tears the next. I’m really proud of this one.”

Matalas teased in a tweet that Season 3 will show more of Olivia (Alisen Down). The Striking Woman, whose genetic code was used to create the Messengers, went rogue. She chose to leave the Witness’ plans behind and start her own mission.

Matalas also teased in another tweet that “12 Monkeys” Season 3 will end in a cliff-hanger.

Towards the end of last season, Cassie, a pregnant virologist, was trapped in 2163 in Titan by the Army of the 12 Monkeys. She is set to deliver her and Cole’s child who will eventually become the Witness in Titan.

“12 Monkeys” Season 3 airs sometime in 2017. A premiere date has yet to be announced.
