TLC has finally made a move regarding the Josh Duggar molestation scandal. Many, including former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star Mama June Shannon, have called for the show to be canceled as more details come out about Duggar.

According to TMZ, the network has decided to pull “19 Kids and Counting” from its programming lineup - at least for the moment. Sources close to the situation tell TMZ that no definitive decision has been made regarding the show’s fate, but it is not looking good for the future.

Two days after molestation reports against Duggar first surfaced, TLC aired a “19 Kids” marathon. Outraged viewers took to Twitter to vent their frustrations, calling the network’s decision “disgusting” and “absolutely terrible.” Many used the hashtag, #CancelTheDuggars.

News broke of Duggar’s past illicit sexual behavior on May 19. It was reported that the 25-year-old was turned in by his father, Jim Bob Duggar, in 2005. Jim Bob reportedly witnessed his eldest son exiting the bedroom of a minor and “learned something inappropriate had happened.” The family are said to have known Josh had a history of this sort of behavior as he confessed to partaking in “forcible fondling” in 2002. Rather than involve authorities, the family sought therapy for both Josh and his victims.

Josh has since issued an apology, saying he “acted inexcusably.”
