Singapore Airlines will use the world's largest passenger plane, Airbus' A380, to take one of the three daily flights between Singapore and Beijing as it strives to meet growing flight demand ahead of the Beijing Olympics.

SQ802, the first A380 flight to China will leave Singapore at 8:30 on August 2 and arrived in Beijing at 14:40. The return flight SQ805 will departure from Beijing at 17:05 and arrived in Singapore at 23:20.

The A380's will operate flights until August 8, 2008, and then the company will restore the normal flight schedule with its typical Boeing 777 passenger plane.

Singapore Airlines is the world's first airline to receive and operate the A380 aircraft, and is also the only airlines currently that are operating the A380. Singapore Airlines has launched A380 flights from Singapore to Sydney and London on October 25, 2007 and March 18, 2008.
