“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 still has plenty of surprises in store. Even though Skye (Chloe Bennet) was revealed to be Daisy Johnson/Quake, audiences have yet to figure out what Raina (Ruth Negga) has become. The midseason finale showed her eye going yellow and something happening to her skin, but fans didn’t see the final result. A new illustrated poster from Entertainment Weekly gives more clues.

Raina has yellow eyes, her skin looks like it’s covered in spikes and she has claws. While this isn’t exactly what Raina will look like in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” midseason premiere, it does give us a lot of hints. “I would say for this, it’s not without base and some fact,” executive producer Jeff Bell said. “It’s representative, and it’s his interpretation of certain things, and I think certain things here are quite different than how she’ll look. But I think it’s also hinting at the transformation.”

Fer-de-Lance – Fer-de-Lance/Teresa Vasquez, is not actually an Inhuman, but we have to remember that Daisy wasn’t an Inhuman in the comics either. Fer-de-Lance was a villain in the Captain America comics. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico (which lies on top of the alien city where Raina unearthed her powers), she was part of the Serpent Society, a league of supervillains. She robbed banks and casinos. Raina’s physical attributes are the only information that clues us into who she is, so we’re looking for someone with claws and spikes. Fer-de-Lance’s description that notes she has retractable claws and spikes in her body.

Tigra – Tigra/Greer Grant is a common theory among “S.H.I.E.L.D.” fans. Tigra has fought alongside Quake in the Inhuman comic books, so the connection makes sense. She also has claws, but like Fer-de-Lance, her physical transformation doesn’t seem very drastic. Claws and cat-like eyes are our only indicators. However, Tigra, for the most part, has been one of the good guys, and we just aren’t sure if Raina will fight for the greater good.

Naja – Naja is a new character in the comic books, but the intense physical transformation is what makes the theory seem plausible. Naja has reptile-like features including scales, a tail and wings. That isn’t exactly what Raina became, but it is a drastic physical change. Also, Naja’s backstory is unknown as of right now, so the writers wouldn’t have to worry about comic book purists.

Raina – There has been speculation since the beginning that Raina might turn out to be the mutant Raina. She is a mutant who evolved from dinosaurs. The transformation doesn’t look much like a dinosaur, but the writers may be taking liberties.

No One – The “S.H.I.E.L.D.” writer may have actually created their own Inhuman just to throw us all off.

Whoever she is, she’ll have a lot of trouble adjusting. “Well, Raina has always been someone who walks into a room and knows she has all the power, and the ability to sway anything in her way,” executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen told Marvel. “Part of that is her appearance. She’s always adorned herself in flower dresses, she’s always perfectly put together, and she’s a beautiful woman. Now we’ll see how this transformation affects her.”
