“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 3 is all about putting together the Secret Warriors, but what if there aren’t any warriors to keep secret? Daisy (Chloe Bennet), who revealed in the premiere that she will no longer go by Skye, will get frustrated while trying to find suitable recruits for the team in episode 2. However, in a sneak-peek video, Andrew (Blair Underwood) warns her that she’ll have to be patient. Rushing anyone into being a Secret Warrior could have disastrous results, but the team won’t be Daisy’s only concern in episode 2. Another sneak peek shows Ward’s (Brett Dalton) return, and he isn’t a lone wolf anymore.

Sneak Peek No. 1

Daisy gets an update on Joey (Juan Pablo Raba) after a psychological evaluation. He isn’t stable enough for action, but Daisy feels like they’re running out of time. “All these people who transformed have the potential to turn into monsters, but the team you do have has that danger as well,” Andrew warns.

Andrew isn’t just concerned about the new Inhumans. He worries about Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team. “Desperation leads to mistakes,” he explains. “Giving Hunter carte blanche to get payback. Letting Fitz try to open a portal to save one life. These are questionable decisions.”

Andrew says that he can’t tell Coulson these things because the director is a man set in his ways. Daisy, however, is still developing. She is becoming a leader, and he worries about how she is dealing with her new position. She could be a little too focused. “When I changed, I felt like a monster. I needed help,” Daisy says. “This is a chance to show people they belong. It sounds stupid.”

Daisy doesn’t want just a halfway house though. She wants the newly empowered Inhumans to see that “being different can mean making a difference.”

Sneak Peek No. 2

Daisy will need to start making a difference fast if she wants to stop Ward. The rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. agent will be reforming Hydra, and he already has a team. In the clip, Ward is driving around with Kebo (Daz Crawford) with another man, Carmine, on top of the car’s hood. Apparently, it’s Carmine’s car.

“Hydra’s full of guys like him: soft, entitled, mistaking wealth for success, privilege for powers,” Ward explains. “Their greed splintered Hydra into a thousand pieces. Their time is over. Time for a leaner generation.”

Ward hits the brakes and flings Carmine off his car to the ground. A large group of people come out to show support for Hydra’s new leader. It looks like Ward has an army ready to fight with him. This isn’t just about torture, though. Ward has a motive: he wants information.

“Now’s your chance to prove you still have purpose,” Ward says. “Show me you’re not dead weight. So tell me, where’s the kid?”
