Airbus A380 showcased its interior cabin in the Shanghai Pudong International Airport yesterday and carried nearly 150 guests for the one hour's demonstration flight.

The Airbus A380 is equipped with a total of 519 seats, including 64 business class seats and 136 seats in economy in the upper deck, 12 first class seats and 307 economy class seats in the lower deck.

On the same day, Singapore Airlines' A380 was formally put into commercial operation, flying on Singapore to Sydney routes. Since the first quarter Current orders for A380s will be delivered to Singapore Airlines in the first quarter of 2008, the company said, and will fly from Singapore to the United Kingdom Heathrow Airport.

Mi Xiaochun, the Airbus public relations department general manager of China, said that in addition to delivering a new one this year, Airbus will deliver 13 A380 next year, and 25 in 2009.
