The Alabama Crimson Tide held on to their No. 1 spot in the Associated Press college football poll, while Southeastern Conference rival LSU Tigers slipped to No. 4.

The Crimson Tide received all 60 first-place votes for the first time this season following their convincing victory over Ole Miss on Saturday.

LSU defeated Towson on Saturday, 38-22. The Tigers were ranked second in Week Four, and had two first-place votes.

Oregon stayed at No.2, while Florida State moved up to No. 3. Georgia is ranked fifth.

Stanford took a fall in the polls after losing to Washington. The Cardinal had previously jumped in the polls with their home win over USC.

Michigan State, Boise State, and Baylor all dropped out of the Top 25.
