Alex Torres' sex video stunt over California with receptionist Hope Howell will be investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA said Friday it will be looking into the videotaped skydiving sex act to determine whether the pilot might have been distracted during the nude show over Kern County. Any activity distracting a pilot while flying could be a violation of federal regulations, FAA spokesman Ian Gregor told MSNBC.

Torres is a porn star who goes by the alias Voodoo. He also used to moonlight on weekends as an instructor at Skydive Taft, but has since lost that part-time job because of the incident.

David Chrouch, owner of Skydive Taft, has told media outlets he fired Torres, but has not yet decided whether he will take similar action with Howell.

I didn't know it until one of the officers came over from the Taft Police Department and informed me this was going around the kids in school and stuff, Chrouch said, according to KGET-TV. I was really surprised.

Chrouch also said he was unconcerned about the pilot because the pilot was in complete control of the plane at all times.

He also told KGET-TV that the two participants told the pilot it was OK to do this. He added that both Torres and Howell got to the place of business before anyone else and shot the video.

The graphic video shows Torres and Howell initially having sex in the small plane before they jumped out together, continuing the act over California in midair.

Authorities have said Torres posted the video on his blog. He then removed the video from his blog on Monday when the Taft police investigation started unfolding.

Torres reportedly recorded the sex video in hopes of getting the attention of radio host Howard Stern.
