Allison Janney has updated fans about her “Mom” co-star Anna Faris after the latter announced her separation from husband of eight years Chris Pratt.

On Tuesday, Janney attended the TV Academy’s Performers Peer Group Celebration event in Beverly Hills, where she was interviewed by E! News. During her chat with the publication, Janney dished on how Faris is doing since the confirmation of her split from Pratt. “She just is a trooper. She comes to work with a smile on her face,” the actress said of her co-star. “She’s professional. I love her to death. Her private life she keeps pretty much to herself.”

Janney went on to say that she’s amazed by how Faris gets the job done despite the trying time she’s currently facing. “She comes to work and gets the job done. She’s got a big smile on her face and she’s getting through it,” she said.

Janney added that she and the people working on the CBS series sympathize with Faris and Pratt amid their separation. “We’re all very supportive of her and love her and feel badly for both of them. We love them both. They’re such great people,” she shared.

Faris and the 57-year-old actress are back to filming their sitcom, in which they play the roles of a mother and daughter. “Mom” was renewed for another run this March after CBS and producing studio Warner Bros TV reached an agreement. The renewal of Janney and Faris’ show did not come as a surprise, according to Deadline, since it has been a solid ratings performer and has earned Emmy nominations.

Faris and Pratt tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their son, Jack, in August 2012. The former was previously married to Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008.

On Aug. 6, the Hollywood couple announced in a statement that they have reached the end of the road of their marriage. “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” they said. “We still have love for each other [and] will always cherish our time together.”

The announcement that Faris and Pratt were divorcing came as a shock to their fans, since the two have maintained a united and family-oriented front throughout their marriage. They have also been very supportive of each other’s projects. In fact, Pratt appeared on Faris’ CBS sitcom in the show’s fourth season as a womanizer who seduced the latter’s character, according to People.
