“American Horror Story: Roanoke” star Lady Gaga revealed that her upcoming fifth album, “Joanne,” was influenced by her relationships with the men in her life, and that includes her relationship with her former fiancé, Taylor Kinney.

In an interview with People, the 30-year-old pop star said that her previous romance with the “Chicago Fire” actor “absolutely” had an impact on her new record. “When you listen to the album … the influence that all the men in my life have made on this record [is clear],” Gaga told the news outlet. “That’s at the center of it.”

“I [also] always wanted to be a good girl, and Joanne [the late sister of songstress’ father whom the album is named after] was such a good girl,” Gaga added. “But I have such a rebellious spirit, and my father was always very angry. He drank because of his sister’s death. I was trying to understand him through making this record, and in that, also trying to understand why I love men that are cowboys.”

Gaga and Kinney first met in 2011 on the set of the pop star’s “Yoü and I” music video, in which the 35-year-old hunky actor played her love interest. Several months later, the pair started dating.

In February 2015, Gaga announced on Instagram that she and Kinney got engaged. “He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!” she wrote alongside a pic of her massive heart-shaped diamond sparkler.

In July, however, several news outlets confirmed that the two had split and ended their engagement. But based on an Instagram post that Gaga shared shortly after the news of their breakup made headlines, it seems that their relationship isn’t completely over.

“Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates,” Gaga wrote, alongside a black and white photo of the two walking together. “Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other.”

A rep for the Gaga also told People that the split could only be temporary, saying: “They are taking a break.”

Gaga’s “Joanne” is set to be released on Oct. 21.
