American Horror Story
Detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley) will learn more about the history of Hotel Cortez in Season 5, episode 2 of "American Horror Story." FX

Dare to stay another night at Hotel Cortez? Those who decide to check-in for episode 2 of “American Horror Story: Hotel” will be in for a treat. More characters – and presumably more grisly deaths – will be explored as Season 5 of the FX mini-series continues.

Episode 2 is titled “Chutes and Ladders.” The upcoming installment will find Hotel Cortez newcomer Will Drake (Cheyenne Jackson) bringing “couture” to the halls of the establishment. According to the synopsis, Countess Elizabeth (Lady Gaga) will find herself drawn to one of the models who visits … and based on the promo video it looks as if the model could be played by none other than Naomi Campbell. The 45-year-old model and actress is portraying a woman named Claudia Bankson, but little is known about the character – like if she’ll become Elizabeth’s next meal.

Meanwhile, one Hotel Cortez resident won’t be excited about the fresh blood roaming the halls. Hypodermic Sally (Sarah Paulson) has a bit of a mental breakdown when she appears to be left off of a guest list for an event being held inside the building.

“I g-----n live here,” she yells at Will Drake when he asks what the problem is.

Finally, viewers will want to keep an eye on Detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley). As Lowe explores the mysterious building he “learns about the hotel’s sadistic first owner.” And that sounds like “American Horror Story” fans will get to see star Evan Peters in action as the twisted owner with a dark secret from the 1930s, Mr. James March.

“American Horror Story” Season 5, episode 2 airs on FX on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 10 p.m. ET. Watch the promo video for “Chutes And Ladders” below:
