Nothing says happy Father’s Day quite like athletes running, jumping and climbing through a seemingly impossible obstacle course.

On Sunday, June 19, Esquire Network will pay homage to dads around the world with a two-hour “American Ninja Warrior” Father’s Day special. The installment will be “action-packed,” featuring the most memorable stories about fathers from the past eight seasons of “America Ninja Warrior.”

So, grab a seat on the couch with your dear old dad and witness 16 “remarkable runs” from the competition series — including Geoff Britten’s jaw-dropping Season 7 conquest! Viewers will get a chance to rewatch Britten become the first person to ever complete the difficult “American Ninja Warrior” course as his wife and daughter cheer him on from the bleachers.

Fans will catch Michael Stranger conquer the course as his terminally ill wife and their child support him from the stands. The episode also will pay tribute to the father/son duo Jon Alexis Sr. and Jon Alexis Jr. as they sprint through the obstacles with finesse.

The Father’s Day special will even celebrate the dads who supported their competitive children from the sidelines. Grant McCartney, who competed in 2015 during the Venice Qualifiers, was cheered on by his father, former NFL star Ron McCartney, as he completed various course challenges. Viewers will be able to watch Grant reflect on the special moment in the upcoming episode.

The “American Ninja Warrior” two-hour Father’s Day special airs on Esquire on Sunday, June 19, at 9 p.m. EDT.
