Sony had recently released Android Marshmallow update to different variants of Sony Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact was the only device that did not receive the software upgrade. Now, the Android M update has been finally made available for it. BlackBerry too has released the latest Android build to the users of BlackBerry Priv.

Sony has released the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with build number 23.5.A.0.570 for LTE variants of Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact with model numbers SGP621 and SGP641. The update has also arrived for its Wi-Fi variants with model numbers SGP611 and SGP612, Xperia Blog reported.

In the previous week, the Android M upgrade was made available for Sony Xperia Z2, different variants of Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Dual and Xperia Z3 Compact. All these smartphones and tablets have also received the same 23.5.A.0.570 build.

Sony has almost finished its Android Marshmallow release for Its Xperia Z series products such as Xperia Z5 lineup, Xperia Z4 Tablet, and Xperia Z3+. However, it is yet to release Android M upgrade for its midrange products. The newly released Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia X Performance smartphones come preloaded with Android Marshmallow OS.

BlackBerry has now finally released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade to its first Android smartphone, the BlackBerry Priv. It has been released after weeks of beta testing. The update is now available for the users of unlocked BlackBerry Priv users.

Users, who have purchased the BlackBerry Priv through AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, will have to wait until May 3 to get the latest Android version, the official BlackBerry blog reported. Apart from the Android M software, the update also brings improvements to BlackBerry keyboard, support for more notifications on BlackBerry Hub, updated Launcher and improved battery life. The upgrade also includes the Android security patch for the month of May.
