“Maleficent” star Angelina Jolie wants to stop the rumors about her divorce from Brad Pitt. She hired Judy Smith, the D.C. crisis manager who inspired the character Olivia Pope on Shonda Rhimes’ “Scandal,” People Magazine wrote in an exclusive report Friday. Smith is “consulting” with Jolie’s team.

“Judy has been asked to consult with those working with Angelina on divorce negotiations,” a source told People Magazine Friday. “Judy and her firm have a long history of handling issues that have unfortunately garnered too much attention in the public eye, and she knows how to push towards resolutions that are swift and discreet.”

Smith was hired to help fix high-profile celebrities like Monica Lewinsky, Michael Vick, Paula Dean and Wesley Snipes. She also aided Sony Pictures Entertainment after the infamous email hack.

Smith’s new employment goes against a report from Us Weekly that claims Jolie, 41, is trying to ruin Pitt, 52. “Angie says she is going to destroy him,” an insider told Us Weekly Wednesday. “If something is broken, she just throws it away.”

One of the biggest rumors to emerge from the Jolie-Pitt divorce is that the “Allied” actor was “verbally abusive and physical with his children” on a private jet Sept. 14.

The latest drama claims that someone is shopping naked pictures of Pitt. Radar Online reportedly saw the photos and “confirmed” they were of the actor.

Jolie filed for divorce Sept. 19. She cited irreconcilable differences. She asked a judge to give Pitt visitation rights of the kids: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Pitt reportedly wants joint custody. They were married for two years and together for more than a decade.
