With “Avengers: Age of Ultron” behind us and “Captain America: Civil War” still several months away, the only oasis in the desert for Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans this summer is “Ant-Man.” Now, some new teaser posters highlight and reveal some of the major players that will orbit the MCU’s newest hero.

The newest crop of photos comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, where each new image can be seen in full. All images feature Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) as Ant-Man, shrunk down to a tiny size, posing with key characters like Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly). However, other posters show him with some characters that have been mostly left out of the film’s trailers and promotional material. Among them are the characters Paxton (Bobby Cannavale), Luis (Michael Pena) and Dave (T.I.).

Pym, as fans of the comics will know, is the inventor of the Ant-Man technology that allows a person wearing his engineered suit to shrink down to the size of an ant. Meanwhile, his daughter, Hope, acts as a sort of mentor/trainer to Scott once he adopts the persona of Ant-Man. Finally, Stoll will play the infamous Cross, who eventually becomes the villain Yellowjacket and battles it out with Lang in a desperate bout for control of Pym’s coveted technology.

Who then are these other three cast members getting the high-definition poster treatment for Marvel’s final installment in its second phase of movies? Unfortunately, Marvel Studios seems to be remaining tight-lipped about some of the finer points of the plot of “Ant-Man” (likely in an attempt to hide certain universe-defining elements that may show up in the movie). As a result, almost nothing is known about Cannavale’s character, Paxton. However, speaking to International Business Times last month, “Ant-Man” star David Dastmalchian revealed that his character in the movie is part of a criminal gang consisting of characters played by Rudd, Pena and T.I.

As previously reported, this could mean that the characters will lend support to Lang as he embarks on the action-packed journey from big-time criminal to bigger-time superhero.
