New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis was the victim of a hazing incident at the University of Kentucky, according to a viral Vine video.

In the hazing video, a naked Davis is held down on the ground in what appears to be the University of Kentucky’s locker room. An unknown individual, likely one of his University of Kentucky teammates, proceeds to spank Davis, who laughs throughout the incident and acknowledges the camera.

While details on the hazing video are scant, it seems to have been shot while Davis was still playing for the Kentucky Wildcats, TMZ notes. Davis only played college basketball for one season, and would have been an 18-year-old freshman at the time.

The hazing incident didn’t seem to affect the Wildcats’ drive to a National Championship. The 2011-12 Kentucky basketball team defeated Kansas to win the national title, with Davis serving as the team’s centerpiece. In fact, Davis’ lone season in Kentucky was so successful that he later became the first overall selection of the 2012 NBA Draft. He is now considered to be one of the Pelicans’ best players.

Still, an alleged bullying incident involving Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin has thrust locker room behavior and rookie hazing into the spotlight. Martin’s teammate, suspended offensive lineman Richie Incognito, stands accused of using racial slurs, threats, and physical intimidation to “toughen up” the 24-year-old, various outlets have reported. Eventually, the alleged abuse grew so intolerable that Martin left the team, reportedly to seek medical help.
