This month alone, Apple's next-generation Macbook Air notebooks will go into production, starting with nearly 400,000 units.

Apple Insider reports that analyst Ming-Chi Kyo of Concord Securities has said a total of 380,000 Macbook Airs will be produced, with slightly more 11.6-inch Macs than the 13.3-inch.

The new 11.6 thinner and lighter Macbook Air launched last year at $999, and became an instant hit among consumers.
