Many news sources are reporting that Arnold Schwarzenegger has announced he is putting his acting career on hold.

Schwarzenegger's office released a statement saying that he already asked his agent to discontinue any current film negotiations.

Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines, the statement said.

According to the statement this decision also includes Schwarzenegger's upcoming movie Cry Macho. It was reported that he signed on to the film for $12.5 million.

According to TMZ this also includes the Governator.

A representative for the project said, In light of recent events, A Squared Entertainment, POW, Stan Lee Comics, and Archie Comics have chosen to not go forward with the Governator project,

Just a few days ago Schwarzenegger admitted to fathering a child with a woman from his household staff named Mildred Patricia Baena. The child is said to be 14 years old.

Baena worked as a housekeeper for Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver. She worked at the house for more than 20 years, and according to reports, her duties included cleaning, laundry, cooking and other chores.

She retired from her job as a housekeeper in January, around the same time Schwarzenegger's term as governor of California was over. This was also the time Schwarzenegger told Shriver about the out of wedlock child. Last week Shriver and Schwarzenegger announced their separation after 25 years of marriage.

It was reported on Thursday that Shriver hired Laura Wasser, a prominent Los Angeles family law attorney who specializes in divorces.

Maria hasn't decided yet if she wants to end her marriage, a source told People.com According to the report, Wasser was hired before news of the affair was made public.
