If rumors are to be believed, North London heavyweight Arsenal are looking to conclude a deal that will bring in Sunderland and ex-Paris Saint-Germain midfield man Beninese Stephane Sessegnon.

Gunners’ manager Frenchman Arsene Wenger knows that he will be facing a tough competition from rival clubs like Liverpool, Tottenham and Sessegnon’s former club Paris Saint-Germain and will be looking to seal business as soon as possible.

Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill recently revealed that he may have a tough time holding on to the wanted midfielder at the end of the season as the 27-year-old is finding it hard to adapt to the life at the Stadium of Light.

O’Neill also said that he would hate to lose the player due to homesickness and is yet to hear any other developing news from the player’s agent, according to a Daily Mail report.

Stephane Sessegnon has made as many as 27 appearances for the Black Cats in all competitions and has managed to find the back of the net seven times. The Beninese international left his previous Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain in January last year and signed a three-and-a-half year contract with a transfer fee worth £6 million.

He has made 103 appearances for his former French club and has managed to score 10 times in all competetions.
