Arsenal will be hoping to sign two Rennes midfielders - Tongo Hamed Doumbia and Yann M'Vila -in the January transfer market, according to the latest rumours.

The Daily Mail reports that the 22-year-old Hamad, regarded as one of the best prospects in France, is a possibility for transfer at the end of the season. The Arsenal scouts have alerted manager Arsene Wenger, who is known to be keen on the player.

With interest from clubs across Europe, including Russuan sides CSKA and Spartak Moscow, his price is likely to rise from the £8million Rennes were initially prepared to sell him for.

Meanwhile, club teammate M'Vila, for whom Arsenal failed with a £20.1 million transfer deadline day bid in August, has admitted that he is ready to leave Rennes, although only after Euro 2012.

I feel ready to leave now,' M'Vila told Fifa.com. I just don't think it's a good idea with Euro 2012 coming up.

Finally, TalkSport has reported that Benefica midfielder Javi Garcia's agent has denied rumours claiming the midfielder is set to join the Gunners.

Manuel Garcia Quilon, the player's agent, revealed that he has had no contact with the London side and that he expected Garcia to stay with Benfica.

The only interest from Arsenal in the player is what I have seen in the Portuguese press.

I can guarantee I have not had any contact with any club about a possible departure from Benfica.

Javi is happy at the club and he is very happy to stay in Lisbon. He is just thinking about winning the league and playing a big role in the Champions League.
