An enterprising wine collector was lured to a craigslist robbery trap by the promise of Chateau Lafite Rothschild, the New York Post reported today. When Quy Duc Nguyen arrived in Maspeth, Queens to pay for the $3,200 bottles of sought-after French Bordeaux, he was knocked unconscious, bound, and robbed of $40,100 cash.

Nguyen, 53, or Rosemead, Calif., had previously purchased Chateau Lafite Rothschild from the same seller in the past. The seller - who is not the attacker - has been identified only as "Bart". For at least three weeks, he has been advertising rare wines on craigslist, which has regularly been in the news for its connections to violent crimes.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild is leader of only four wine-producing Chateaux of Bordeaux to have achieved First Growth status in the 1855 classification.
