Dominique Strauss-Kahn may be in deeper trouble than ever.

According to a report in the French website Atlantico.fr, DNA samples taken in the sexual assault charge confirmed traces of his sperm on a dress worn by the hotel chambermaid who was allegedly raped by the former boss of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

The New York Police Deoartment has reportedly sent the test results to French officials who allegedly confirmed the trace.

Strauss-Kahn, who is facing seven charges, including rape, is looking at 25 years in jail if he is convicted. He is currently under house arrest in Manhattan, after being released recently from the notorious Rikers Island prison.

Strauss-Kahn’s attorney, Benjamin Brafman, said he will assert that the sexual relations between his client and the maid was consensual and does not constitute rape.

Strauss-Kahn, who reportedly sent an email to staffers at IMF citing his “profound sadness” over having to resign, is denying all charges.

His wife, the American-born heiress and French TV presenter Anne Sinclair, reportedly spent $1 million to bail out her husband and is also shelling out an estimated $200,000-per-month to pay for security costs for his court-ordered home confinement.
