REAL MADRID: Javier Chicharito Hernandez or Neymar Headed to Santiago Bernabeu?

Jose Mourinho wants another forward, and when the most high-profile manager in the world wants something, he usually gets it.

After signing Fabio Coentrao, Hamit Altintop, Jose Maria Callejon, Nuri Sahin and Raphael Varane, the only thing lacking for the Real Madrid, according to Mourinho, is another forward.

Two players reportedly on Real Madrid's radar are Santos striker Neymar, and Manchester United forward Javier El Chicharito Hernandez. Both options are rather flawed, and Mourinho should look elsewhere.

In two games with Brazil in Copa America, Neymar has proven he's not yet a world-class striker. The 19-year-old has struggled with possessions, but that could be due to poor form by his teammates, and a lack of cohesion by manager Mano Menezes.

Though Neymar certainly has talent, it may still be too early for him to make the jump to among the best clubs in the world. It's clear that Neymar needs seasoning, and for now, Real Madrid probably isn't the right place for him to do it. Neymar requires more 90-minute game experience, and that will likely not happen under Mourinho next season.

Hernandez is quite a different story. Having excelled at Manchester United, it probably wouldn't be in Sir Alex Ferguson's best interest to let such a valued forward leave.

With Dimitar Berbatov falling out of favor at Old Trafford, the potential loss of Hernandez would create a major attacking void. Though Real Madrid have deep pockets, Manchester United would likely not let Hernandez go unless the transfer fee was very high.

An interesting option for Real Madrid could actually be Berbatov. Though many have questioned his style, endurance, and demeanor, the Bulgarian striker still finished with 20 goals last season, which tied him at the top of the goal-scoring table with Carlos Tevez.

Berbatov hasn't been rumored to be a Real Madrid target but he would be a good fit. Los Galacticos are probably better served with a young striker, as opposed to a 30-year-old one, but Berbatov has good qualities.

He has a sharp understanding of spacing, very good ball control, and would fit with Real Madrid's slower tempo than he did with Manchester United's fast-paced style. He also doesn't have much of an ego, which is an important quality on a star-studded squad.

Berbatov has been rumored to be a targed of Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Valencia, and would likely command a £14 million fee.

Mourinho will likely still pursue Neymar and Hernandez, simply because he would like to add a young forward, but there are probably more sensible options available.
