A list that tracks the 100 people who have the most followers on Google+ says Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is the most followed person on Google+ than Google CEO Larry Page.

According to Social Statistics, Zuckergerg tops the list with 184,842 followers, Page is second with 94,913 followers, and Google co-founder Sergey Brin is third with 71,781 followers.

The others included in the top five lists are Google Senior Vice President Vic Gundotra, the man with all the information and updates on Google+, with 47,989 followers and blogger Robert Scoble with 47,239 followers.

TWIT founder Leo Laporte is sixth with 47,191 followers, Mashable News is eight with 39,268 followers and Actress Felicia Day is ninth with 37,043 followers.

What is surprising is that organisations such as Mashable are still being allowed to participate despite Google making it public that brands and companies would need to wait until the Google+ Enterprise profiles were launched.

Although Zuckerberg is the most followed person on Google+, he has not posted a single update on the network. His profile pages shows the default There are no messages to display notice. On his About page, he says I make things, and lists Palo Alto, CA as a place he has lived.

Most of the top 25 people are tech experts, such as Leo Laporte of This Week in Tech, MG Seigler of TechCrunch, and Pete Cashmore of Mashable. Another interesting fact is that 86.6 percent of current Google+ users are male, compared with only 12 percent female and 1.4 percent who listed themselves as other.
