Miss Angola Crowned Miss Universe 2011 (MOST SPECTACULAR PHOTOS)

On Monday, millions of people across the world watched in admiration as Miss Angola, Leila Lopes, was crowned the winner of the 2011 Miss Universe pageant.

For the current event, 89 stunning contestants vied with each other in different categories from the swimsuit, interview to the personal interview round.

Lopes, a business student from the town of Benguela was presented the coveted title and crown by former Miss Universe 2010, Ximena Navarrete of Mexico.

Present in the top 10 list were contestants from Australia, Costa Rica, France, Ukraine, Portugal, Panama, Philippines, Angola, China and Brazil.

Earlier, besides the routine programs, the contestants also got involved in a busy schedule of activities like visiting non-governmental organizations in the city and attending the Formula One racetrack events.
