Prince Harry has not been in the United States long, but he sure has made a lot of headlines - especially for his soiree with a California cocktail waitress named Jessica Donaldson.

If you looked at the headlines in Britain's most popular newspapers last week they looked like this:

Prince Harry 'top of class' in US helicopter training - The Telegraph

'One of the best young pilots the country has ever seen': Top gun Prince Harry amazes U.S. instructors with his flying skills - The Daily Mail

Prince Harry is top of the choppers - The Sun

Fast-forward a few days later and the headlines tell a different story:

Prince Harry 'dating Californian cocktail waitress' - The Telegraph

Prince Harry snapped canoodling with 2 girls in VIP area at California nightclub - The Daily Mail

Prince Harry snogs Kate Middleton lookalike - The Sun

As they say, pride comes before the fall and Harry's hard-partying lifestyle is back in the headlines after a photograph of him apparently kissing bottle-service girl Jessica Donaldson at a music venue in San Diego surfaced on the Web site Rumorfix.com.

Donaldson, who has been called a Kate Middleton lookalike, denies rumors of an affair.

He is a real-life Prince Charming, a total English gentleman she told The Daily Mirror, adding that she was way flattered at suggestions that she resembled the Duchess of Cambridge.

Donaldson, whose job is to sell bottles of liquor and mixers to tables, said she was speaking out so that everyone could know the truth.

I am not sleeping with Prince Harry and he has never been anything other than a total gentleman to me, she told The Mirror.

I am very upset that all this has blown up. He is just a regular guy who enjoys a few beers with his buddies, she added. He's really cool and down-to-earth and that's what I liked about him. I'm flattered he showed me attention, but there is nothing more to it than that.

Donaldson, who goes by Jes, said Harry came to the IVY nightclub at the five-star Andaz Hotel in downtown San Diego on Friday, Oct. 7 with about 20 friends.

I had no idea the VIP was Prince Harry until he walked in, Donaldson told The Mirror. We are used to seeing celebrities here like local sports stars and Johnny Knoxville, but when Harry walked in, it was, 'Wow!'

Donaldson, who has a distinctive floral tattoo on her right side, said that Harry asked for her number and they met again the following day for brunch at a beachside café called Pipes. They then went to a Mexican restaurant for cocktails, Donaldson said.

The two met again last Saturday at the Belly Up Tavern in Solano Beach, about 20 minutes driving time from San Diego. They listened to a live band and danced and it was then that photographers allegedly snapped photos of the couple embracing - something that Donaldson claims did not happen.

Donaldson, who lives with her boyfriend of three years, Brandon Thomason, is adamant that it is not her, saying that Prince Harry has lots of girls. She has assured her boyfriend, a nightclub promoter, that nothing went on and that it is just the angle of the camera when Prince Harry leaned in to talk that made it look like a kiss.

The Daily Mail, however, claimed on Sunday that multiple sources said that a woman fitting Jessica's description arrived alone by taxi at Prince Harry's nearby hotel room, leaving at 6 a.m.

Prince Harry is in El Centro, a two-hour drive from San Diego, for a 12-week Army training course on Apache helicopters. He has two weeks left in his training.

The younger brother of Prince William has been spotted with a number of potential love interests over the years, but is believed to be single after his long-term relationship with Zimbabwean girlfriend Chelsy Davy ended in 2009.
