iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak Video Released by @pod2g, Release Date Not Disclosed (Video)

Users of Apple Inc.'s latest mobile operating software, the iOS 5, have been waiting for an untethered jailbreak, from any Dev-team. It seems the wait is going to be over soon.

A Chronic Dev-team member, who uses @pod2g as a Twitter handle, posted an update on the micro-blogging site, which shows a video demonstrating the jailbreaking process on an iOS 5 device.

Back in November @pod2g had posted on his Twitter page that he found a bug which could lead to iOS 5's untethered jailbreak.

Hey jailbreaking friends, I've found a bug that can untether iOS 5. Don't expect a release soon, but I'm gonna work hard in it, the Dev-team member had tweeted.

There is no other update on the jailbreak from @pod2g but the untethered jailbreak might not work on the Phone 4S and the iPad 2 as both devices run the A5 processor.

Earlier, just a day after the iOS 5's release, the Redsn0w jailbreak surfaced with its new version 0.9.9 for iOS 5.

The Redsnow 0.9.9 jailbreak is a tethered one - you need a Windows or Mac computer running Redsn0w every time you reboot your iOS device.

After struggling for about a month, the team launched the semi-tethered jailbreak.

However, users of Apple's devices have long been craving the most user-friendly of jailbreaks; something they will now be waiting for all the more eagerly.

@pod2g has not posted anything about the release date.
