Daring silhouettes and avant-garde creations dominated the Prive couture line by Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, at the 2012 Paris Fashion Week.

The color palettes for the event featured distinct autumn shades including lime green and citrus. However, such elegant hues were sharply interrupted by splashes of metallic shimmers and silver fabrics.

Some of the mainstream creations included sleek trousers, sculpted bodices, unique designed skirts and iridescent jackets. The collection, overall, reportedly exuded a vintage elegance that was intersected by brief displays of modern fabrications.

The Giorgio Armani Prive couture line was among the major attractions at the Fashion Week. Apart from this, the event was also dominated by couture creations from some of the biggest names in the fashion industry, including Givenchy, Dior and Chanel.

The semi-annual fashion event is a part of the Big 4 of International Fashion Weeks - the others are in London, Milan and New York.

The 2012 Paris week started with the Y Project by Yohan Serfati and was soon followed by shows from major fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton, Comme des Garcons Homme Plus, Dior Homme and Paul Smith.
